In January 2013, we received notification of a substantial legacy to Kempston Concert band on behalf of the late Mr Nigel Nichols of Kempston. This generous gift is a great asset to the band and has allowed us to expland our music library, purchase and maintain instruments. This act of kindness on the part of Mr Nichols has been amazingly positive and we wish to pass on this kindness as much as possible.
Kempston Concert Band perform three formal concerts each year in aid of various charities. The band donate profits from each of our concerts (including the raffle at the interval) to local charitable organisations. In addition, the band performs at various other events throughout the year. The concerts are held at Kempston East Methodist Church. To date, the band have raised over £8000 for various different charities!
